We are very pleased to offer this stunning 1970 Porsche 911 ST with period race history for sale.
The car was born as a 2.2 E and was raced in the late 70s with a 2,3 liter engine, evidenced by the original French FIA passport. It was recently fully prepared to group 4 spec and complies with FIA Appendix K.
The engine was rebuilt to full race standards using high compression pistons, 906 cams, twin ignition and factory race spec glassfibre cowlings. The bodyshell was extensively restored and strengthened as permitted. It has a full welded-in FIA 6-point roll cage with door and harness bars, 2.3 911 ST style front and rear metal flares, glassfibre front and rear bumpers as well as front bonnet and engine lid. The car was first delivered in light yellow, which it still wears today.
The car comes with German road registration, Porsche certificate of authenticity and valid FIA papers. It is extremely powerful, handles beautifully and is the perfect entrant for historic competition, be it circuit racing or classic rallies.
