We decided to go public with the company at the Techno Classica, the world's leading classic car fair. 190,000 thousand visitors from 41 countrys came to visit the Techno Classica. And we were very happy to be a part of it.
The fact, that we strive to use innovative and online-based ways to present our portfolio doesn't mean we disregard established concepts. Nothing can beat and replace personal contact. We were fortunate to be selected as exhibitor despite beeing a new company. Stand 111 in hall 1A didn't sound bad to start with, even though we just had 8 weeks to prepare everything from the day we got the go from the organisers. It is incredible how many details had to be planned and organised.
Our concept was to put just three very special cars from successive decades on our booth. We chose the Miura from the 70ies, the M1 from the 80ies and an extremely rare 993 RSR from the 90ies. We decided to keep the background as simple as possible with a black carpet and black walls. In our opinion classic cars match perfectly with classic furniture. So we sourced a set of beautiful Eames Soft Pad lounge chairs from the 70ies with patinated cognac leather. Aqua Monaco, a small beverage manufacturer from Munich, matched our concept perfectly and was a great partner. Of course, we also had a big screen on the stand to show our films.
We are very happy about the feedback we got and are more than thankfull for all the interesting people we had the chance to meet.
There was just one drop of bitterness: I’m a huge Sinatra fan and had the luck to meet the current owner of "his" Miura #4407. Our very interesting conversation was suddenly ended by a security who had to send all visitors out as the fair was closing. We had agreed to meet again the next day, but it didn’t happen. So I didn’t get the chance to play "Fly me to the moon" for the norwegian collector. If you meet him, please do so with the best compliments from Max.
Thanks everybody for the visit & we hope to see you again soon!
